Floral Skirt

Floral Skirt

I bought this skirt from a charity store in Norfolk for £2

It was an ankle length maxi skirt...This is what it looks like after I cut it.

1) Measure the skirt against another skirt and then cut to the length you would like, ensure to leave 2cm for a hem.

I sewed the hem on my sewing machine which I got from a second hand store for about £40

 2) Use a straight stitch to go around the hem of the skirt, I left my hem at about 1.5cm

3) With the left over material I hemmed both edges which I might keep to make into a bandeau top.

This is what the end product looks like, I added a plaited leather brown belt which I also got from a charity store!

Just set up?

I've just set this blog up to show people a lot of the items i get from charity shops and carboots, and also to show tips on how to change the appearance of old clothing.

Enjoy! x x
